The crew of Lancaster W4935 (44 Sqn)

This Lancaster took off from Dunholme Lodge at 2139hrs. It crashed into the Baltic near the target area. Eventually two bodies were washed ashore. The grave of Sgt Philip (the rear gunner) is shown above but the whereabouts of Sgt H C MacAninch is uncertain and is he is remembered at Runnymede with the other crew members.
